Quality artificial grass installed on a proper sub-base typically lasts 15–20 years. Some premium products carry manufacturer warranties of 10–15 years. UV stabilisation prevents fading even in full sun exposure. The main factor in lifespan is the quality of the grass itself — cheaper imported grass with lower stitch density and fewer UV inhibitors will degrade faster regardless of how well it's installed.

Maintenance is minimal. A stiff brush once a month to keep the pile upright, removing leaves and debris, and rinsing the surface for pet hygiene is all that's required. There's no seasonal treatment, no winter preparation, and no reseeding bare patches. Once it's in, it largely looks after itself.
